How to Get Rid of a Burnt Smell
- 1). Open the windows in the kitchen to let fresh air in the house, and the burnt air out. This will help to get rid of some of the burnt smell.
- 2). Boil 1/4 cup of water mixed with 1/4 cup of white distilled vinegar for 20 minutes. The vinegar steam circulated throughout the kitchen will eliminate burnt smells that came from pots and overly cooked foods.
- 3). Slice a lemon, and set the slices in a microwave safe bowl. Add 1 cup of water and microwave on high for three minutes. Open the door to the microwave and allow the steam to enter the kitchen. This will remove burnt odors in and around the microwave.
- 4). Set two to four boxes of baking soda around the kitchen to absorb any remaining burnt food odors.
