Place a thick layer of old newspaper on top of your paper towel layer. - 3). Apply pressure to the layers of newspaper and paper towels in order to wick up the moisture. Continually change to a fresh layer of paper towels and newspaper until there's no more transfer of dog urine onto the paper.

Saturate the dog urine stained area with cold water. - 5). Blot the cold water with paper towels until there's no further transfer of water onto the towels.
- 6). Pour a pet odor neutralizer onto the location of the dog urine stain. Allow the neutralizer to soak into the carpet or upholstery fibers.
- 7). Remove the pet odor neutralizer and any remnants of dog urine with a wet vac. Follow with a cool water rinse then wet vacuum the area again. Air-dry the location that was stained.
