How to Control Creeping Speedwell
- 1). Till over the entire area of creeping speedwell to a depth of 6 inches with a rototiller. Tilling breaks up the weeds and makes manual removal more efficient. A hoe can be used for small areas of creeping speedwell.
- 2). Pick up all loose vines of the creeping speedwell and discard them in a garbage bin.
- 3). Mix a dicamba herbicide solution according to the directions of the particular product. Pour the solution in a garden sprayer or spray bottle, depending on the size of the affected area.
- 4). Spray the herbicide on the freshly cut creeping speedwell vines as soon as possible. Prompt action increases the chance that the herbicide will reach deep into the root systems.
- 5). Repeat the herbicide application as often as necessary, but do not exceed the recommended time frame for the particular herbicide product.
