How to Clean Synthetic Leather
- 1). Dry-dust synthetic leather with a soft rag. Wipe the leather down thoroughly to remove loose dust, dirt and debris. If the item is furniture, you can also use a soft-brush vacuum cleaner attachment for dusting.
- 2). Dampen a soft cloth with lukewarm water. Wring out the cloth well.
- 3). Wipe down the synthetic leather with the damp rag. Go over it with a dry rag to remove any moisture. Damp-cleaning with plain water is all you need for routine cleaning.
- 4). Fill a bucket with warm water and add a few drops of mild dish soap for deeper cleaning. Use your hands to mix up the soap and water.
- 5). Dip a rag into the soapy water and wring it out well. Wipe down the synthetic leather. Rinse and wring out the rag often while cleaning.
- 6). Rinse the leather with a damp rag to remove any soapy residue. Buff with a dry cloth.
