How to Add Wood Trim Around a Bathroom Wall Mirror
- 1). Measure one side of the mirror, where the frame meets the wall. Mark out the measurement to a piece of quarter round trim, putting two marks on the trim and leaving a little room beyond each.
- 2). Set the trim on a miter saw, with the curved side facing out and the two flat sides positioned against the platform and the saw's back fence. Slide the piece so one of the marks is under blade.
- 3). Swivel the blade 45 degrees outward, toward the end of the trim. Cut it.
- 4). Move the trim so the second mark is under the blade. Swivel the blade 45 degree in the opposite direction. Cut it.
- 5). Hold the trim next to the outside of the mirror, on the side you originally measured. Position it so the curved side is facing out, one flat side is against the wall, and the other flat side is against the side of the mirror frame. The mitered ends should angle off the two corners.
- 6). Secure the piece by shooting pin nails through it and into the wall every 8 or 10 inches.
- 7). Follow the same procedure for each side of the mirror, lining up the mitered ends of the trim to form the corners.
