How to Uninstall Paint in Vista
- 1). Insert the Windows Vista CD-ROM that came with the program when you purchased it. This disc was used to install the Windows Vista onto you computer.
- 2). Click "Start" and select "Run." Type "control appwiz.cpl,,2" and click "OK." The Windows Components Wizard will open and display components of your windows program.
- 3). Choose "Accessories and Utilities." Select "Accessories."
- 4). Scroll down the list of accessories until you reach "Paint." Uncheck "Paint." Unchecking Paint from the list will uninstall the program and remove it from your computer. If you have a change of heart, you can always reinstall the program by going to the same place and checking the box.
- 5). Click "OK" to finalize the changes.
- 1). Click "Start" and select "All Programs." Hover over "Accessories" and right-click on "Paint." A window will open, displaying a list of options. Click on "Properties."
- 2). Click on "Find Target" under the "Shortcut" tab. This will take you to the actual program, where you can delete it from your computer. The folder "System32" will open and Paint will be highlighted as "MSPAINT."
- 3). Right-click on "MSPAINT" and click "Delete," this will delete the program from your computer.
