How to Design an India Logo
- 1). Begin with a sheet of paper and pencil. Jot down any ideas that come to mind about India. Think of foods, the culture, transportation, plant life or anything else. Do not skip something because you think it might be stupid. Write down everything.
- 2). Decide (from your list) which words can be eliminated automatically. Maybe you wrote down "rice" as an Indian food, but cannot think of an appropriate way to show that. Put a single line through the words you no longer want to consider. Use a single line because if you do think of something later, you can still read the word, even if it's marked out.
- 3). Decide the basic look of your logo. Do you want a word or words or do you want only visuals? Do you want color or black and white. This is completely up to you. Remember that your overall theme is India, so you need to be consistent with colors, words and images. (For example, do not have a logo that says "blue Rhino" if it's written in green and has a tiger on it).
- 4). Begin sketching basic drawings. Do not hold back. Sketch anything you'd like. You can have a logo in any shape, but a simple shape (such as a square or circle) is much easier to design and more memorable. Include anything from your modified list from Step 2.
- 5). Choose your favorite logos from the sheet you've just completed. Decide why they are your favorite and what you might change about them. Then, on a new sheet of paper, combine any ideas that you liked and throw out the ideas you don't like. Soon, you may have completed a few very good logos.
- 6). Choose your favorite logo. It needs to be simple enough to understand without spending too much time looking at it. It also needs to have colors that do not hurt the reader's eyes (for instance, do not use blue and orange right next to each other, or any other complimentary colors). Make sure your text font is simple and easy to read.
