How to Remove White Plaque in a Spa

    • 1). Drain all of the water from your spa so you can easily clean the walls and floor.

    • 2). Fill a spray bottle with equal parts water and either white distilled vinegar or apple cider vinegar. Add about 1 to 3 tbsp. of dish detergent to the bottle. Lightly shake the bottle to incorporate all of the liquids.

    • 3). Spray the entire surface of the spa with the solution and allow it to soak in for five to 10 minutes.

    • 4). Spray the surface of the spa again and scour with a scrub brush. Scrub the walls and floor of the spa until the white plaque disappears. Spray the surface with more of the solution if any of the residue remains.

    • 5). Rinse the spa thoroughly with a garden hose to get rid of the solution and any bits of plaque. Allow the spa to drain and use the hose to push any plaque particles through the drain.
