How to Connect a Bluetooth to Windows
- 1). Insert the disk that came with your USB Bluetooth adapter into your computer. Run the installation process. When you are prompted that your PC doesn't have a certification process with Bluetooth, click "Continue Anyway."
- 2). Reboot the computer and insert the USB Bluetooth adapter into a USB port when prompted that you do not have a Bluetooth device plugged into your computer. The installation process will tell you to do this.
- 3). Select the Bluetooth icon that appears in your Windows taskbar on the bottom right. This will open the Bluetooth Configuration Wizard. Name your computer and computer type. Select the protocols you will be using your Bluetooth for. For example, if you are only using the headset, unselect everything except for "Headset."
- 4). Select "Skip" on the next menu if you are not connecting another Bluetooth device.
- 1). Change your Bluetooth headset to "Discovery Mode." The process will be described in your Bluetooth headset manual. Select the Bluetooth icon in your taskbar.
- 2). Select "Find Nearby Bluetooth Devices" from the menu on the screen. Your headset should appear in the window. Right-click on it. Select "Pair Device."
- 3). Enter the PIN code that is listed in your Bluetooth device manual in the window that comes up. The headset icon should now have a check mark next to it indicating that it has been paired. You should now be able to use your Bluetooth device with your computer.
