How to Get Burnt Oil Off a Pan
- 1). Mix the baking soda and dish soap in the small bowl. This should form a paste. If the mixture is too runny, add more baking soda. If it's too dry, add more detergent.
- 2). Spread the paste liberally over the burnt oil residue in your pan.
- 3). Allow the paste to sit for one hour.
- 4). Use the scrubbing side of the sponge to rub the paste in a circular motion. You may have to scrub vigorously, but the burnt oil will start to come off.
- 5). Rinse the pan thoroughly, and repeat the process if any of the oil residue remains.
