    • 1). Locate the water turn off slot, which is to the right of the flush valve and has a hex-head shape. Insert a hex head key into the hex head shape and turn it clockwise to turn off the water flow to the urinal. Flush the urinal several times to ensure the water is off before proceeding.

    • 2). Loosen the fitting to the right of the flush valve using a crescent wrench. Place the bucket underneath the urinal. Unbolt the urinal from the wall with the 1/2-inch ratchet and socket. Carefully pull the urinal away from the wall, using the help of an assistant if necessary. Scrape off any excess caulking from the wall with a razor blade. Remove the old urinal hanger from the wall with the drill and a Phillips head bit.

    • 3). Measure the back of the waterless urinal using the tape measure and locate the position for the mounting bracket in relation to the hole in the bottom of the urinal for the drain. Transfer these marks to the wall with the tape measure and a permanent marker. Make sure the two bracket marks are level using the level.

    • 4). Drill holes in the wall for the mounting bracket using the hammer drill and a masonry drill bit. Install the bracket to the wall with the hardware from the kit and the drill with a Phillips head bit. Make sure the bracket is level using the level. Hang the waterless urinal on the bracket and make sure it fits correctly. Take it off of the bracket when you're sure the bracket is hung correctly.

    • 5). Clean out the urinal drain using the flathead screwdriver to remove any debris in the system, knocking the debris into the bucket. Apply the odor barrier oil to the end of the replacement drain pipe included in the kit.

    • 6). Install the flange from the kit into the drain at the bottom of the urinal with your hands. Bolt it to the wall with the bolts from the kit and the 1/2-inch ratchet and socket. Test fit the urinal again, making sure it fits correctly and the plumbing fits into the drain flange, then remove it. Install any extra bolts necessary for the mounting bracket with the drill and Phillips head drill bit.

    • 7). Apply PVC cement to the PVC fitting on the bottom of the urinal, which is called the tailpiece. Slide the tailpiece over the drain to connect the PVC on the urinal to the drain. Allow the PVC cement to dry. Apply a thin layer of caulking between the wall and the urinal.

    • 8). Pull out the insert and flush trap in the bottom of the urinal using the tool provided with the urinal. Pour water into the bottom of the urinal. Reinstall the insert into the bottom of the urinal with the tool provided, then pour 12 ounces of the odor barrier into the drain.
