How to Fix Trouble With Dell Sound Card & Pvx Video Conference
- 1). Open the Polycom PVX software and choose the "Setup" feature, then click "Options." In the options window click on the "Sound" feature and select the kind of speakers you are using (laptop, desktop or headphones). Also uncheck any muted option you see.
- 2). Double-click the sound icon in the lower right corner of the desktop window and deselect the muted options here as well.
- 3). Open your Internet browser and navigate to the Dell website. Choose "Support" and select the computer make and model you are running. Click "Downloads," then select the driver download for your sound card. The file downloads directly to the computer system.
- 4). Double-click the downloaded file to load the driver installation wizard. Accept the end-user agreement, then follow the prompts of the installation wizard to completely install the driver onto the computer.
- 5). Restart the computer and the Polycom PVX software should now function correctly on your Dell computer system.
