How to Use Jiffy Steamer Liquid Cleaner
- 1). Unplug your steamer and make sure it is completely cooled before you attempt to clean it. Use a wrench to loosen the attachment connecting the hose to the body of the steamer and remove the hose.
- 2). Pour 10 ounces of Jiffy Steamer Liquid Cleaner directly into the cup on the front of the machine for models J1, J2, J200 and J2000. Leave the cleaner in the unit for at least three hours.
- 3). Pour 10 ounces of Jiffy Steamer Liquid cleaner into the steamer, along with one gallon of water, if you have models J3, J4 or J4000. Plug in your steamer and turn the dial to the "Preheat" setting. When the red "Preheat" light is extinguished, turn the steamer off and unplug it. Let the steamer cool for at least two hours.
- 4). Turn the steamer upside down over a sink or bathtub and pour the cleaner out of the steamer (all models).
- 5). Fill the steamer with cool water and tip the steamer over to dump it out. Repeat this process three times to ensure the cleaner is fully rinsed out of the steamer.
- 6). Clean your steamer with Jiffy Steamer Liquid Cleaner at least once every three to six months. You may need to clean it more often if you have very hard water.
- 1). Fill the steamer with 4 oz. of water and plug it into the nearest outlet.
- 2). Set the steamer to the "Full Steam" setting.
- 3). Turn the steamer off once it begins steaming and unplug it.
- 4). Pour the water out of the steamer by tipping it over. Be careful--the water will be very hot.
- 5). Add 5 oz. of Jiffy Steamer Liquid Cleaner to the steamer and let it sit for at least two hours.
- 6). Pour out the cleaner and rinse the interior of the steamer three times with plain water.
