Funny Romantic Ideas
- Romance doesn't always have to mean "mushy." Sometimes adding a little humor can go a long way. One example is writing a silly poem for your love. Make it original: "roses are red, violets are blue" poems are cliche and used far too often. Get your creative juices flowing and create something all your own. Often times the ones that make little-to-no sense but rhyme are the cutest.
- Making your own coupon book to give to your sweetheart can be both heartfelt and funny at the same time. If your beloved is tired of cooking and cleaning, give him a coupon for a day off from the household chores. Or, if your other half is exhausted from a long day of work, a coupon for a free back massage could do the trick. Have fun with it; only you know what your partner likes and dislikes.
- Using Monopoly money can be used on its own or with the coupon book idea. Give your sweetheart $500 in Monopoly money and set up a "menu" of your services. Say, $30 for a foot rub, $20 for her control of the remote for the night, or anything else you think she might want.
- Send your love on a wild goose chase. Sometimes the funniest ideas come from things that don't make sense. Send him looking for random objects. A pen, an orange tulip or a brown paper bag -- anything. At the end of the scavenger hunt he'll find you waiting to tell him you love him. Or you can take the mushy route; send him to different locations to find letters. At the end he'll have a message that says "I love you."
