Magnavox DVD Player Instructions
- 1). Connect an HDMI, component video or set of RCA cables to the appropriate port on the left (HDMI), center-right (component video) or right (RCA) of the player's rear panel.
- 2). Connect the other end of the cable to the "HDMI," "Video In" or "Aux" port of your television. Connect a red and white RCA audio cable to the "Audio Out" port on the machine's right and connect this to the "Audio In" port of your stereo or television.
- 3). Plug in the player and press "Power." Turn on your television and tune to "HDMI," "DVD" or "Video In."
- 4). Press the "Setup" button on the remote control. Press the up and down arrow keys to navigate between menu items, then press "Enter" to select "General Settings."
- 5). Press "Display" and choose "4 x 3" if using the player on a standard-definition television or "16 x 9" on a wide-screen HDTV set. Press "Enter" to confirm your choice then press "Setup" to return to the menu.
- 6). Navigate to "Clock" and press "Enter." Choose "Clock Setting." Use the sideways arrow keys to navigate between month, day, hour and minute and the up and down arrow keys to set each section to the correct value. Press "Enter" when you have set the correct time, then press "Select" to exit the menu.
- 7). Press "Eject" to open the disc tray. Place a DVD or CD in the disc tray and push the tray closed. Press "Play" to play the disc. Navigate to "Play Movie" with the arrow keys and press "Enter" to play the movie.
- 8). Pause the movie by pressing "Pause" and resume by pressing "Play." Skip between chapters with the "Chapter Skip" buttons, or shuttle forward and back within a scene with the "Fwd" and "Back" buttons. Press "Eject" to halt playback and remove the disc.
