    • 1). Install the projector in front of the screen. Leave the air vents on the projector unobstructed. Connect the power cord to the projector and wall outlet.

    • 2). Locate the HDMI connector on both your computer or DVD/Blu-ray player and on the projector. Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the disc player or HDMI port on your computer and the other end into the projector's HDMI port.

    • 3). Turn your computer or disc player on. If you have a computer, you may need to press the "Fn" key and the key allowing you to change the video output to the HDMI, sometimes labeled with a monitor image.

    • 4). Use the focusing ring of your projector to focus the image until it's clear.

    • 5). Insert the calibration DVD provided with your projector in your disc player or computer. Play the DVD and select "Grid pattern."

    • 6). Use the lens adjustment to adjust the image if the pattern is not square. Tilt the lens down if the pattern is shaped like a pyramid and up if it's shaped like an inverted pyramid. Tilt the lens to the left if the pattern forms a pyramid whose top points to the left, and right if it points to the right.

    • 7). Insert a movie in your player to play it on the big screen.
