    • 1). Plan for a time of the week when the weather forecast calls for at least 48 hours of dry weather. The concrete should be dry before applying the seal and for 24 hours after the seal has been applied.

    • 2). Sweep the concrete to remove any loose debris or dirt from the surface. Spray the concrete with a hose after sweeping.

    • 3). Apply detergent to any area where stains have formed on the concrete. Apply chemical stain remover to areas of rust or other metal staining. Scrub the concrete with a brush to remove the stains.

    • 4). Rinse the concrete thoroughly with the hose. Allow the concrete to dry for 24 hours.

    • 5). Pour the masonry seal into a 5-gallon bucket. Use a roller to apply the seal onto the concrete. Cover the entire concrete surface with the seal. Add additional coats as directed. Allow the concrete to dry for 24 hours before walking or driving on it.
