How to Get Wrinkles Out of Clothes With Steam
- 1). Fill the reservoir of the garment steamer with water and insert it back into the steamer body.
- 2). Hang the clothing item up on the steamer rack, or from a door frame or door knob.
- 3). Plug in the steamer and turn it on. Wait five minutes for the steamer to heat up, and for steam to begin coming out of the steam head.
- 4). Hold the steam head against the clothing item gently until the wrinkles in that part of the clothing are gone. Move the steam head to the next wrinkled area and hold it up against the fabric lightly. Repeat until all the wrinkles are gone.
- 1). Put the piece of clothing in the clothes dryer with a damp towel.
- 2). Turn the dryer on high for 10 minutes. The heat from the dryer will cause the damp towel to let off steam, releasing the wrinkles in the clothing.
- 3). Hang the clothing up in the bathroom, as close to the shower as possible.
- 4). Turn on the shower to the hottest setting. Close the door and wait 10 minutes. The steam from the shower will cause the wrinkles in the fabric to release.
