How to Get Rid of Soap Scum on Dishes
- 1). Mix equal parts of white distilled vinegar with baking soda in a small bowl. Add more baking soda, if necessary, until the mixture develops a texture similar to toothpaste.
- 2). Smear the baking soda paste on the dishes' scum stains. Allow it to set for five to 10 minutes to break down the scum.
- 3). Rub the paste into the scum stain. Use a mildly abrasive cleaning cloth or sponge to scrub lightly and remove the remaining scum stains.
- 4). Rinse the dishes in clear water. Apply the paste and scrub a second time if any persistent scum remains after the initial washing and rinsing.
