Why Are Women So Obsessed With Their Eyes?
One thing you will notice about women, and I am speaking here from a male point of view, is that they always want their eyes to look good.
They will aspire to have beautiful eyelashes, they will meticulously trim their eyebrows, and they will apply make-up to cover up any wrinkles and dark circles under the eyes.
So why the obsession? Well, I think it is perfectly understandable because the eyes are the one part of your body that people will look at the most.
Every time you strike up a conversation with someone, the other person will always look into your eyes.
So they will easily spot any imperfections you may have, and will notice if you have dark circles under your eyes, for example.
To some extent I think a lot of men are conscious of how their eyes look as well.
Of course they won't admit it to their friends, but secretly there are a lot of men who tidy up their eyebrows and shave above the nose and between the two eyebrows to remove any errant hairs.
Plus, of course, you will find that eyelid surgery, although most popular with women, is also carried out on a certain number of men each year.
So it is not just women who want their eyes to look good.
Anyway going back to my original point, I think another reason why women want their eyes to look attractive is because it is one of the first things men look at when approaching women for the first time.
A lot of men don't care about your ears, for example, or the shape of your mouth.
However, they will be looking into your eyes all the time, so if you have very dark circles under your eyes or droopy eyelids that make you appear tired and a lot older than you actually are, then it may put some men off if they are particularly obsessed with how you look.
Similarly, it can also make you self-conscious if you are with a group of friends and they all have beautiful eyes.
You don't want to be the one that has dark circles or puffy eyes, for instance, because men may well be more attracted to them when you are out and about.
In summary, I think it is easy to see why women are obsessed with their eyes, and always want to make sure that they look their best.
It is often said that the eyes are the window to your soul, and the fact is that other people will always be looking into your eyes in everyday life.
So I can certainly see why many women spend a small fortune on beauty products, and even surgery in some cases, to make their eyes, and the area around the eyes, look beautiful.
