How to Make a Terry Cloth Wristband
- 1). Measure your wrist, or the wrist of the person for whom the wristband is intended.
- 2). Add two inches to that measurement. This is the length measurement that you will need to cut your fabric.
- 3). Cut the terrycloth fabric with the scissors, using the measurement taken for length and making it four inches wide.
- 4). Lay your newly cut piece of fabric on a flat surface.
- 5). Measure an inch in from the edge on either side of of the width of the fabric, and mark it lightly with the pen.
- 6). Using the ruler, create straight lines that form a border down either side of the fabric, starting from the marked one-inch pen marks.
- 7). Place a thin line of fabric glue down both lines.
- 8). Fold the edges in to meet the lines of glue and press the fabric together. Allow it to sit for 10 to 15 minutes to let the glue dry properly.
- 9). Thread the needle with thread in the same color as the fabric.
- 10
Stitch the ends of the fabric together, matching up the ends and keeping stitches small. - 11
Knot the thread securely and use the scissors to cut the remaining thread tethering the needle to your wristband. - 12
Turn the wristband right-side out.
