Our bodies are made in different shapes and sizes.  Some people are apples. Some people are oranges. Others are bananas.  Some are pears.

Everyone has a different body.  And, when it comes to weight loss and fat burning, each body type will respond differently to different things.  In this article, learn how to lose the most weight, in the shortest time, for your body type.

How to Lose Weight Based on Body Shape # 1: The Big Apple Apples tend to be heavier on the top than on the bottom. The body stores fat in the arms, chest and belly. The butt has less muscle density and less fat.  The legs are smaller than the upper body, but can still hold a good amount of weight.

Apples suffer from being clobbered by insulin.  To effectively lose weight with an apple shape, you need to do the following:

1)      Lay low on the carbohydrates. Carbohydrates provide insulin spikes. Insulin spikes make fat burning nearly impossible. 1)      Amp Up Your Exercise. Oranges benefit from a workout regimen that includes interval training. Interval training alternates between aerobics and weight lifting in one session. For example, you might do 10 minutes on treadmill and 10 minutes of resistance training for your arms. You then add 10 minutes of elliptical aerobics and 10 minutes of resistance training for your lower body.  You do this for about 60 minutes 3 times a week. This allows your body to get pumping all over and burn fat and build muscle evenly.  You will also burn more calories in a shorter time.

2)      Snack a bit. Dividing your meals up into 4 – 6 mini meals of about 300 calories each will stimulate your metabolism.
