• 1). Move objects, such as furniture or tables, away from the awning.
  
  
• 2). Stand beside the awning switch away from the awning's arms.
  
  
• 3). Depending on the model, press or flip the awning's "extend" switch.
  
  
• 4). Let go of the switch once the awning has lowered if your model requires that you hold the switch during opening.
