    Replacing the Regulator Fuse

    • 1). Pull the Tahoe's hood release lever and open the hood. Locate the underhood fuse-block on the driver's side of the vehicle.

    • 2). Remove the cover from the fuse-block and remove the fuse labeled "PWR WDO."

    • 3). Install a new 15A fuse in its place and reattach the fuse-block's cover. Close the Tahoe's hood.

    Replacing the Regulator

    • 1). Open the Tahoe's rear door and remove the retaining screws from the side of the door trim panel with a Phillips screwdriver. Pull the door trim panel off of the door and disconnect all five of the electrical connections revealed by removing the door panel. Remove the door trim panel from the Tahoe.

    • 2). Remove the speaker by carefully prying off the four retaining clips holding it to the door. Pull the speaker out of the vehicle.

    • 3). Unfasten the two inner mounting panel bolts of the regulator underneath the window. Disconnect the lock rods from the lock handle and unplug the wiring harness.

    • 4). Slide the inner mounting panel towards the rear of the vehicle to release the regulator roller from the window. Remove the window by pulling it ff the door.

    • 5). Use a drill to remove the front and rear rivets attaching the regulator to the door. Place the replacement regulator onto the door and attach it by installing new rivets. The replacement rivets should have come with your replacement regulator. Reinstall the window and the inner mounting panel. Reattach the speaker and the door trim panel.
