    • 1). Set the front left and right speakers on each side of the TV, according to the labels on the back of each unit. The center speaker sits below or above the TV for dialogue. Place the two rear speakers at the back of the room behind the seating. Set the subwoofer, a box speaker for bass, near the receiver on the floor.

    • 2). Connect each speaker to the terminals on the LG receiver labeled for that speaker, using the supplied two-strand wires. The colored strand connects to the red (+) terminal and the plain wire attaches to the black (-) terminal on the back of each speaker and the receiver.

    • 3). Insert the plug on the end of an HDMI cable into the port on the lower left corner of the LG receiver's back panel.

    • 4). Connect the other end of the cable to an HDMI port on the television set.

    • 5). Plug in the supplied AM loop antenna to the port labeled "AM" on the back of the LG receiver.

    • 6). Plug in the FM antenna to the port labeled "FM" on the rear of the receiver.

    • 7). Connect an iPod, if desired, to the labeled "iPod" port on the back of the LG receiver. Other portable audio devices, such as a CD player, can be connected to the 3.5mm stereo jack on the front of the receiver in the bottom left corner.
