How to Sync Files to an iPod Nano
- 1). Download and install iTunes on your PC. Follow the on-screen prompts to install iTunes on your computer.
- 2). Launch iTunes.
- 3). Add files to your iTunes library. Click "File" in the menu at the top of the iTunes window. Then, select "Add to Library." A dialog box will open.
- 4). Browse for the files you want to add to your library by clicking different locations in the left panel of the dialog box. For example, if you have music files in "My Documents," navigate to it by clicking the appropriate folders.
- 5). Select files by clicking on the file, then clicking the "Choose" button. ITunes will import the file to your library.
- 6). Add entire folders by clicking on the folder then selecting the "Choose" button. ITunes will import the folder to your library.
- 7). Connect your iPod Nano to your PC with the iPod USB cable. Plug the USB end of the cable into a USB port on your computer. Insert the opposite end of the cable into the slot on your Nano.
- 8). Cancel any automatic syncing by clicking the small "X" in the display at the top of the iTunes program window.
- 9). Click on your iPod Nano in the left pane of the iTunes window under "Devices."

Click on a category tab at the top of the page to select the files you want to add to your Nano. For example, click "Music" to add music files. Select the "TV Shows" tab to add TV shows. Other tabs include, "Movies," "Podcasts," "iTunes U," "Photos," "Contacts" and "Games." When you click on a tab, the page will load. Select the media you want to sync by clicking in the check box next to the file name. - 11
Click the "Sync" button when are you ready to sync the files you selected to your iPod Nano. The "Sync" button is located in the bottom-right of the iTunes program window, next to the capacity bar. - 12
Disconnect your Nano when the iTunes display reads "iPod Sync Complete."
