How to Transfer Yahoo Maps to an iPod
- 1). Visit maps.yahoo.com and type in your location and destination to generate directions and a map.
- 2). Use tools such as the Snipping Tool, Print Page button (Windows platforms), or Command+Shift variations (Mac platforms) to take a screen shot of all or part of the map and directions. Past the image into an editing program (iPhoto for Mac, Adobe Photoshop Album or Adobe Photoshop Album for Windows) and save it as a jpeg.
- 3). Connect your iPod to your computer with the USB connector cable.
- 4). Open iTunes.
- 5). Select your iPod under the "Devices" heading.
- 6). Click the "Photos" tab.
- 7). Select your sync options and click "Apply." This will place the jpeg file of your Yahoo! map onto your iPod, which you can use to view the file en route.
