Sing into the microphone while the music plays from the iPod to the television.

    • 2). Use iKaraoke by Griffin Technology. The microphone from Griffin plugs into your iPod's dock connector. Play the song on your iPod to use it as karaoke. The iKaraoke device will lower the volume of the main vocals of songs so that you can turn any song on your iPod into a karaoke song. Plug the iKaraoke microphone into the bottom of your iPod, and select the iPod song to sing for karaoke. The iKaraoke microphone will automatically lower the vocals on the track.

    • 3). Use iLive iPod Karaoke System. While it resembles a boom box, the iPod Karaoke System includes a dock for you to place your iPod, which reduces the volume of the vocals on your iPod tracks for karaoke. The iLive iPod Karaoke System includes a microphone that charges your iPod while it's plugged into the machine. Press the power button on the iLive System, and connect the iPod to the dock connector on the iLive System. Browse through the music library and press the center button on the iPod to select the iPod song to use for karaoke.
