On the ABC mockumentary sitcom Modern Family, Ed O'Neill plays Jay Pritchett, the patriarch of a large and diverse family. Jay's divorced from the mother of his two grown kids, and has gotten remarried to the much younger Gloria, whose vivaciousness can sometimes test his patience, as can dealing with his new stepson, Manny.
