Cut a 4-inch square of watercolor paper with the scissors. Select 3 beads and set them aside.

    • 2). Use the pencil to draw the leaf shapes all in one piece, and cut it out using the scissors.

    • 3). Pour clean water into the water bin and dip the leaf-shape cutout into the water. Soak it completely. Set the leaf shape onto the work surface and use the tip of the toothpick to mark vein lines down the center of each leaf by pressing the toothpick firmly into the wet paper.

    • 4). Use the handle of the brush and curl each leaf a little to arch it, starting at the base of the leaf and bending the paper by pulling the handle outward toward the tip of the leaf. Bend it a lot for a curly effect or bend it slightly for a mild arched appearance.

Using the brush, mix a few drops of water into a small amount of the green paint on a dish or palette. The mix should be thin like ink. Brush the mixture onto the wet leaf, allowing the paint to sink into the paper and the scored veins of the leaves. Paint both sides of the paper and let it dry completely.

    • 6). Clean the brush well in the water and dry it thoroughly. Glue the pin back onto the reverse side of the pin and let the glue dry. Hold the pin using the pin back and glue the beads into the center of the leaves.

    • 7). Varnish the front of the pin and sprinkle with glitter while the varnish is wet. Let the front dry before applying varnish to the back of the pin.
