How to Unlock an AT&T Samsung
- 1). Type *#06# on the phone's keypad. Your phone screen will show you a serial number, also known as an IMEI number.
- 2). Contact AT&T customer support and inform them that you wish to unlock your Samsung phone. You will have to tell them the reason for unlocking--for instance, you may be traveling abroad, or you may want to switch to another carrier. AT&T will then access your application and inform you of whether you are eligible to get the code. If you don't get the code from AT&T, refer to the next step.
- 3). Visit a third-party website that provides unlock codes for Samsung cell phones locked to AT&T. Some of these websites include CellCorner, UnlockItNow and Unlock Samsung Online.
- 4). Provide the required information on the website, including the phone's IMEI number, your name and your email address.
- 5). Pay for the code using your credit card. (The price depends on the phone model.)
- 6). Submit the details and wait for the website to email you the unlock code.
- 7). Enter the code into your Samsung phone. Usually, you are required to switch on the phone using a SIM card other than that of AT&T. When you are prompted to unlock the cell phone, enter the code. The phone will then be unlocked.
