    • 1). Spread glue across the surface of the Styrofoam sphere using a paintbrush. The layer of glue may be relatively thin as the toilet paper will soak through with very little liquid.

    • 2). Lay squares of toilet paper across the glue on all sides of the sphere. Press the paper against the glue so that the toilet paper becomes saturated.

    • 3). Pinch pieces of the toilet paper together to create mountains and hills on the surface of the planet.

    • 4). Press the eraser side of the pencil into the toilet paper to create craters. Use the sharp end of the pencil to vary the shape, outline and depth of each crater.

    • 5). Let the glue dry completely before painting.
