    • 1). Press the "Power" button on the top right side of the camera. This will turn your camera off.

    • 2). Open the SD card slot or memory card door. This is located on the right side of the camera. Push and slide the memory card door to open.

    • 3). Release the memory card from the slot by pressing with your index finger. You will hear a "clicking" noise when it is released, ejecting the card from the camera.

    • 4). Hold the memory card in your hand, and locate the lock switch on the side of the memory card.

    • 5). Slide the memory card switch down into the "Unlocked" position.

    • 6). Press the memory card back into the Canon PowerShot. Make sure the card clicks in place, and shut the memory card door.

    • 7). Power the camera on. Press the power button on the top of the camera.

    • 8). Take a picture. You should no longer see the "Card Locked" message displayed on the screen, and your pictures will be saved to the memory card.
