Outdoor People Do Not Exercise

There are many people who do not like to exercise! However, they love to take their daily walk.
Some people love to observe and be a part of nature.
There is something peaceful about seeing a sunrise early in the morning and being a part of a sunset in the evening.
The sky colors of the red, orange, yellow, pink, white and blue are energizing to people.
When our eyes meet the sky and soak in the colors all we can say is "wow".
Have you ever experienced that feeling?   We cheer for our neighbors who have planted flowers in their yards.
When we walk by and notice the yellow daffodils or the red tulips, it gives our lives beauty..
The birds are returning from the south and we see red and blue birds looking for food.
Our senses are awakened when you pass a lilac brush or honey suckle vines and smell their aromas.
It does not make a difference if it is spring, fall, summer or a snowy winter; this type of walker is outdoors looking for something special to enjoy and remember.
They are not concerned about counting their steps or walking fast/slow.
They consistently keep a journal writing down their experiences and their observations.
I believe these people are setting an example of what life is about and that is being a part of the joy and discovery of the environment around us.
Living in a big city often does not provide the color of flowers or the smell of freshly cut grass.
However, I have walked the city streets of Chicago and rode the "L" and people become our joy to watch.
To grow an appreciation for people can make us smile and say "wow".
I'm not sure the outdoor appreciation walker realizes they are also getting their daily exercise by putting one foot in from of the other and reaping healthy benefits.
