Filled with beautiful ballads that can wake you up from an auto-pilot type of walk, Welcome to Daylight is chock full of authentic and intelligent lyrics that fearlessly pay homage to Jesus and a life lived in His light. Sam Hancock's voice infuses a passion for the band's ministry that draws you in and holds you tight.

For those who may have wondered if the band had what it takes to stick after their auspicious 2011 debut with Sparrow Records, Come Home, Welcome to Daylight answers that question with a hearty yes!

Lamentations 3:23 reminds us that every day is a new day in God. However, (and sadly), we frequently forget that fact and let yesterday's missteps color our today. It's as if we believe that the darkness from our past seeps deeper and deeper into our souls while we sleep. In a subtle way, Welcome to Daylight serves as a wake-up call, prompting us to remember that the sins of yesterday are as far from us as east is to west once we give them to Jesus and ask for forgiveness. The price for them has been paid, so they only live on in our own minds. Living in today, rather than in the memory of yesterday or last week or even last year, is what we're called to do. Otherwise, the forgiveness and redemption that the cross signified is worthless and useless.

Opening up with the title track, the tone for the entire album is set. Welcome to daylight / open your eyes for the very first time. / Look in the mirror / See yourself through Heaven's eyes.

Yes Virginia, there is a Jesus and He does love you. It's time for you to see the new creation that you have become instead of the old, sinful you.

Moving on to songs that feature issues and problems that people face every day, the album gains momentum the farther it goes. The first radio single, "Banner Of Love," is a battle cry for Christians of all ages. We are called to be the light of the world. We must raise a banner, living our lives in order to show others what it's like to live in the light and love of Jesus. "Heal This Home," a song about a marriage that is crumbling after 15 years, is one that anyone in a long-term relationship can relate to. When it feels like there's no way to fix what's wrong / Love is strong and God can heal this home. "The Only Thing That Matters" is one of those flat out "bottom line" songs -- Jesus is what matters. His love is more important than anything else in the world. "Never Give Up" is another bottom-liner that will punch you right in the mouth. Yes, life is going to be hard. (Remember, Jesus himself said, "If the world hates you, you know that it hated me before it hated you" in John 15:18.) Regardless of how well you plan things out, there will be times when your plans will fall apart. Where others may want to just run away, as Christians, we don't do that. We never give up.

Bottom line: this album will inspire you, support you and encourage you. Wake up, smell the coffee and welcome to daylight!
