It's interesting that God never said His children would not have storms in their lives, but He did promise to bring them safely through any storm that threatened to destroy them.
This promise can be found in Psalm 91:15 where God said that when we were in trouble He would hear us, and He would deliver us out of that trouble.
The key to having the victory God promises is to have faith in God by knowing who He is and what He has for those who would be heirs to His salvation.
How can one have faith in God when everything seems to be falling apart today? Jesus gave us the answer to that in Matthew 7:24-25 when He said, "Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
" Notice that Jesus said if we are to overcome the storms of life we cannot simply hear what Jesus says to do, we must do what He says to do.
A classic example of doing something that Jesus says to do is to not be afraid when evil comes at you.
Look at it this way: if God is for you, who can be against you? The Word of God is still speaking today; are you listening? More importantly, are you doing what the Word says to do when the storms of life come? One important aspect of knowing God and doing what He says to do is to not be afraid; don't ever look at the circumstances of life and think there is no way out.
Have faith in God, and know there is always a way out with Him.
