Use CO.cc

• 1). Access the CO.cc website and click the "Getting A New Domain" link in the menu bar (see Resources).
  
  
• 2). Type a desired name in the text field provided. Click the "Check availability" button to see if this address is available.
  
  
• 3). Review the results that appear on the page. If your domain is open, CO.cc displays an "available" label in green. Additionally, note whether your domain choice is free by looking for the "Free" tag next to the address. Click on your domain name choice to continue.
  
  
• 4). Click the "Continue to registration" button and then click the "Create an account now" link at the bottom of the page. Enter the required information such as your name and email address.
  
  
• 5). Read the terms of service and click the "Create an account now" button to proceed. A page appears to confirm that your free domain name, such as "http://www.yourname.co.cc," is now registered.
  
  

Use FreeDomain.co.nr

• 1). Bring up the FreeDomain.co.nr site (see Resources). This service allows you to create a free, short domain name that points to your existing web address.
  
  
• 2). Enter your preferred term in the text field under the "Check if your Free .CO.NR Domain Name is still available" section. Click the "Check!" button to proceed.
  
  
• 3). Look for the "Congratulations! The domain is still available!" notice on the page that appears to confirm that your domain is open. Read through the terms, and if you agree, click the "I want to Signup for this Domain" button at the bottom.
  
  
• 4). Use the drop-down menus to answer the spam-prevention questions that appear on the page. Click the "Next Step" button to continue.
  
  
• 5). Review the domain name rules that appear and then click the box that indicates you agree to the terms. Click the "I have read and I Agree!" button to continue.
  
  
• 6). Enter the required registration information in the text boxes provided. Click the "Complete" button to create your domain name that looks like the following example: http://www.name.co.nr
  
  

Use Weebly

• 1). Launch the Weebly website (see Resources). Weebly is a free website provider that gives you a domain name containing the term "weebly" in it.
  
  
• 2). Enter your registration information and click the "terms of service" link to read the provider's rules for a free account. Click the box next to this link if you accept and then click the "Sign Up" button to continue.
  
  
• 3). Follow the prompts to name your site and enter a term that generates your free domain name. For example: http://www.example.weebly.com
  
  
• 4). Click an option, such as "Basic" or "Multimedia," and drag options from the menu onto the canvas to build your web page.
  
  
• 5). Click the "Publish" button to complete your site and publish your domain name.
