Building a Ford Mustang
- On the Ford website, you can view new lines of cars, study features, preview up-and-coming releases--and build the specific car you desire. The Ford Motor Company family includes Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda and Volvo. To access the website specifically for Ford, click on the icon near the center left of the page.
- On the left side of the screen, nearly halfway down the page, there is a list of shopping tools. Click on the "Build and Price Your Ford" link. On the "Choose Your Path" page, select "Build Your Own." You will then be directed to a list of all of the Mustang models available.
- Select your style, including coupe or convertible. Then choose from the available models, transmissions, packages, exterior and interior options and accessories. Each option lists in-depth details about how those selections affect the style or performance of the vehicle. You can also preview how each selection affects the final price on the lower left corner of the screen. All option selections are viewable on the preview of the car in the center of the screen.
- Purchase your Ford Mustang. Once you have designed your Mustang, click the "Search Inventory" button on the right side of the screen to be directed to a list of Ford Dealers nearest you the designs that are available. You can view pricing and request that vehicle. If you do not see exactly what you want, contact the Ford Dealer for help.
