Strain the leaves out and add sugar to taste.
You can consume such concoction once a day.
Eucalyptus has a soothing effect by relieving you of any respiratory congestion which might be causing the obstruction.
This remedy can be harmful for children under two years of age and pregnant women.
2) Ginger ale remedy.
Similar to eucalyptus, ginger has a soothing effect and relieves decongestion.
You can boil ginger root in water and add sugar to the mixture.
You can also buy the readily available powdered drink.
3) Aromatherapy.
You can also use the various essential oils in aromatherapy.
Examples of such oils are eucalyptus, lavender, and marjoram oil.
These oils relieve the stiffness and tension of the throat as well as lubricate it.
