Percy Harvin"s Debut, Finally!

Everyone in Seattle was awaiting for this day to come.
A debut of one of the NFL's most exciting players in Percy Harvin, many would say Flash in cleats.
It had been almost a year since the heralded wideout had seen the likes of an NFL a game.
Ironically he would suit up for the team he was injured against and those bearing the same suit would do so against his former team.
Vikings and Seahawks fans alike were mixed with a flux of emotions, many wondering if they'd see anything close to what made them so fascinated in the first place.
I'm sure Vikings fans we're hoping not to see much of the exciting player they had once cheered for and loved.
As what happens with most break-ups, sides do become somewhat bitter overtime, mostly of what could have been.
But as it has been said before we must let go of the past and look toward the future because in the end it is all the more brighter.
As for Seahawks fans could this ring any truer? After a promising 2012 campaign the Seattle Seahawks needed that honorary piece in the receiving core, a player that could stretch the field and open up things underneath the defense.
Also someone who had big play capability.
To remedy that the Hawks signed Percy Harvin to a six year $67 million contract.
Though many thought that that was not a bad idea to get that kind of caliber player, there were many skeptic as to the amount of money and how much production the Seahawks would get in return.
As many would agree that Percy Harvin is one of the most dynamic players in the NFL, the same would say that he is injury prone and is highly unlikely to actually play a full season.
I may also add that he was coming off an ankle injury heading into training camp with matters seeming to get worse with the hip surgery that.
In already 5 seasons Harvin has only played 55 games and has yet to record a thousand yard receiving season.
With all that being said many could not wait much longer.
Though Harvin only had two touches they were enough to see why the Seahawks paid him so much.
His only catch was a 17 yard spectacular one handed bobble that set the house a blaze.
Seattle Fans would not have cared if he lined up at quarterback just as long as the ball was in his hand.
It was said that Seattle head coach Pete Carroll would be easing him back into plays and getting him in situational snaps.
Well I guess the situation called when receiver Jermaine Kearse left the game with a concussion.
Harvin was then put on the kickoff return squad where he returned the ball 57 yards.
Its seems as if Percy was the Percy of old.
The speed was there, the quickness and the agility was there, and if anything we all wanted more.
The fact that Seattle had control over the game since the opening minute at Century Link Field would only make sense that Harvin would see not a lot of snaps.
The Hawks trounced the Vikings 41-20 with out much help from Harvin but the future seems very promising with a bye week coming and a Monday Night game at Century Link December 2nd.
That should put Harvin in shape to start seeing more reps in practice and getting in to better game shape, especially with stud wideout Sidney Rice done for the season and Jermaine Kearse coming off a concussion.
After the game Harvin revealed that not only was he coming off injuries to his ankle and hip, but that he had an appendectomy and had a tumor removed all within the pass year.
Hopefully the worst is behind him and if Sunday was any clue as to how he would perform with 5 games left in the season I would say we better look forward to promising performances from Percy Harvin.
