HPV, or Human Papillomavirus, is one of the most common STDs, or sexually transmitted diseases in the world. The reason why this virus is so common is because many carriers of this condition may have it and not even know it.

Like all viruses, it can not be treated with antibiotics that are used to treat other STDs or with antibiotics of any sort. The disease is passed on by unprotected sexual contact of all sorts. The condition can cause genital warts, general warts and cervical cancer.

While there are vaccines being introduced to protect people from this virus, many people have to live with this for the rest of their lives, much like they would with Herpes.

When a person contracts HPV, they will feel ashamed and scared. They will feel like they are so damaged, no one will want to date them. Of course in most civilized societies, if no one will date a person, then they have no hopes of marriage, or of having a romantic partner.

Coupled with this possibility is that fact that many people only desire to have a romantic partner that has no current STDs. Many people won't give a second consideration to a person who has been diagnosed with HPV. However, since there are so many people infected with this condition, it's possible for the person who is infected with this virus to find love and companionship with another person who has this condition.

There are dating websites for those who are infected with HPV. These websites offer a lot to singles with this condition. First, these websites offer full disclosure. When people meet on these websites, they already know going into a new relationship that their potential partner is infected with the virus. This eliminates embarrassing disclosures. This also allows for honest conversations and dialogues with another person who understands what this is like. The two people who meet each other on these dating websites can take comfort in each other, and still carry on a normal relationship as anyone else would.

It's important for singles who have been infected with HPV to know that they aren't damaged goods. They can still date and mate, if they take precautions. If they are dating someone who doesn't have the virus, they need to offer full disclosure.

The infected partner needs to make sure that their partner is protected sexually. They should never engage in unprotected sex, be it intercourse, or by oral intercourse. In short, if the infected person is responsible, then they can have a full and happy romantic life just like anyone else. They don't have to worry about being different or being lonely, as long as they handle the situation correctly.
