Necklace

• Combine a teardrop crystal prism and Swarovski crystal beads to make a necklace that suits an evening out and a day at the office. You'll also need clear elastic beading cord, more for transparency than flexibility. Consider alternating the beads with two colors, styles and sizes, in addition to the crystal prism pendant. Both 4-mm and 6-mm beads work well for a crystal bead necklace strand. To make an 18-inch necklace, cut 22 inches of cording and thread the prism to the center. You can create both sides of the necklace simultaneously by threading the crystal beads one at a time on one side and then the other. Alternate the beads, beginning with your darkest color adjacent to the center prism, until both sides are filled up to 2 inches from the ends of the strand. Attach a magnet clasp for easy on and off; first thread a crimp bead, then the clasp. Thread the cording back down through the crimp bead and the first few beads at the end of the strand before closing the crimp bead with crimping pliers.
  
  

Earrings

• You can make simple crystal bead earrings with French wire findings, headpins and round-nose pliers. Alternate 4-mm crystal beads with contrasting seed beads along the length of the headpin. Make a loop at the end of the pin with round-nose pliers and hook them onto a French earwire. This simple design looks best on a 1-inch headpin, but you can also make longer drops with both longer headpins and end beads with side holes to dangle at the end of your headpin. It's simple to create the dangle; thread the headpin through the side of your end bead and then bend the headpin in a 90-degree angle before threading more crystals.
  
  

Beaded Bracelet

• Create a three-strand crystal bead bracelet with alternating 6-mm rondelles and 4-mm rounds from the Swarovski collection. Select contrasting shades of the same color for the crystal beads, like lavender and purple or fuchsia and pink. You can also create a striking contrast with black and white or sapphire and opal. Measure the length of clear elastic beading cord you need and cut three strands. Remember to add 2 inches so you can connect the strands to the three-opening clasp. Thread two strands exactly the same, beginning and ending with the 6-mm crystals. These will be your side strands. For the center strand, begin and end with the 4-mm crystals. You can use crimp beads or knots to attach the strands to the clasp.
