How to Clean a Laptop DVD
- 1). Purchase a can of compressed air. Compressed air is effective at cleaning crevices in electronic devices.
- 2). Open the DVD drive by pressing the eject button on your computer. If there is a DVD inserted in the DVD drive, remove the DVD.
- 3). Aim the long nozzle on the can of compressed air directly at the DVD drive tray. Hold the can of compressed air a couple inches away from the DVD drive tray.
- 4). Squeeze the trigger on the can to spray compressed air over the entire surface of the DVD drive tray. Spray the DVD drive tray with short bursts of air.
- 5). Spray the air into the opening of the DVD drive, with the DVD drive tray still extended. Compressed air dislodges any dust and debris trapped inside DVD drives.
