How to create an RCIA binder

    • 1). Buy a large, sturdy three-ring binder (preferably with pockets inside the front and back covers for additional storage) from a discount or office supply store. Most three-ring binders cost around $4.

    • 2). Use a permanent marker to label the page dividers. Possible organizational categories include "Notes," "Study Materials" (handouts), "Resources" (meeting dates and contact information), "Church Bulletins," and "Questions" (a running list to jog your memory).

    • 3). Insert notebook filler paper in the front of your binder before the page dividers. Use this to take notes during RCIA classes, jot down questions and take notes on faith-based books you're reading.

    • 4). Insert a few clear page protectors within each page divider section to hold bulkier materials (such as a magazine or pamphlet) or to protect important RCIA handouts.

    • 5). Keep a three-hole punch handy for punching holes in papers that go in your binder.
