Christians from different walks of life are teaming up with organizations and traveling to communities around the world to plant churches and place scriptures in the hands of children and adults in regions around the world every day. What is Church Planting?

When new Christian churches, parishes, or communities are formed, the process is called church planting, and it occurs across all continents. The Bible League of Canada, for instance, has church planting training programs for communities in Asia, Africa, The Middle East, and Europe. Church planting is a time consuming process, but the average mission for volunteers ranges from six to twelve months.

What do Church Planters Do?

When church planters visit regions around the world, they not only build churches but they also work with the communities on other programs. Supplement programs include scripture placement along with literacy programs for adults and children. A large part of the work church planting volunteers do is strengthening communities alongside their church planting work.
