    • 1). Remove any objects or portions of the cabinet that hang down below the flat cabinet under-surface where the microwave will be installed. Create a smooth surface for the installation area, cutting off any superfluous or protruding wood with a saw if necessary.

    • 2). Attach the microwave to the mounting bracket and hold it in the desired position on the cabinet. Mark the location of the mounting bracket with a pencil.

    • 3). Position the microwave mounting bracket against the underside of the cabinet where it will be attached. Mark the location of the attachment screw holes in the cabinet surface with the pencil. Pre-drill the mounting holes with a drill equipped with a bit that is slightly smaller in diameter than the screws you will be using to attach the microwave. Secure the bracket to the cabinet with the screws, installing them halfway until all of the screws have been attached then tighten them completely.

    • 4). Slide the microwave onto the mounting bracket and test the position to ensure that the attachment bracket will hold. Secure the microwave to the bracket in whatever method indicated by the attachment kit or simply let gravity hold it in place.
