Handprint Rainbow

• To create a rainbow hand you will need white card stock or poster board and construction paper in yellow, violet, red, green, blue, indigo and orange. Trace the child's hand onto each piece of colored construction paper. Cut the hands out; there should be seven hands. Next, glue the hands in a half circle on the white card stock in the order of the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.
  
  

Bright Rainbow Streamer

• To make a rainbow streamer you will need crepe paper streamers in the following colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. You will also need a paper plate, scissors and a stapler. Cut each color of the crepe streamers into three-foot-long pieces. Carefully cut the center out of the paper plate. Staple each crepe streamer to the edge of the right side of the paper plate.
  
  

Colorful Rainbow Cup

• This is a great craft to learn the colors of the rainbow, not to mention it can be a tasty snack. You will need red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple Jello; hot and cold water; and clear plastic cups. Prepare the red Jello by following the instructions on the box. Pour a small amount of the red Jello into each cup. Let the Jello set before continuing on to the next colors. Prepare the orange and pour a little bit on top of the red Jello. Allow it to set before continuing. Do the same with the yellow, green, blue and purple Jello. When complete you will have a rainbow Jello cup.
  
  

Construction Paper Rainbow

• This construction paper rainbow craft is also a great way to learn about colors. You will need one sheet of construction paper in each of the colors in the rainbow, scissors, a pencil and glue. Each paper will need a circle drawn on it. Start with the first color of the rainbow, which is red; draw a nine-inch circle. On the second color, orange, draw an eight-inch circle, and on the third color, yellow, draw a seven-inch circle. Continue doing this until each color has a circle drawn, making each circle one inch smaller than the one before. Cut each circle out. Lay the red circle flat and glue the orange circle on top of the red circle. Next, glue the yellow circle on top of the orange circle. Continue doing this for each circle. Then cut the glued circle in half to make the rainbow.
