• Hydroponics is container gardening without dirt, using water as the plant medium. The use of hydroponic greenhouses is increasing. Charlotte Bradley explains that hydroponics lacks the pitfalls of organic soil gardening, such as soil erosion, residue from fertilizers and decreased nutritional value. The same crops and vegetation that are grown in a typical greenhouse will grow equally well in a hydroponics greenhouse.
