    • 1). Create a new rolling title by going to the "Title Menu", and then "New Title". Next, choose "Default Roll".

    • 2). Create or type your text, or graphic elements, if you are using them, in the background of the rolling credits. When you are ready to move on, make sure to save the title.

    • 3). To create rolling credits, you must create a long text box using the "Area Type" tool. Click on the "Area Type" tool, and then click in the frame of the title. Drag down as long as you will need to create a long, vertical shaped box.

    • 4). Use the Title editing panel scroll bar to see the offscreen areas of the title you are working on. This is important to keep in mind, because when you add your title to the video sequence, these areas will roll into view.

    • 5). Use the alignment, tabs, justification or distribution tools to make any necessary formatting changes. Type in all of your text you want to scroll in the title. Make any changes needed to font and size.

    • 6). Go back up to your "Title Menu" at the top of your workspace, and choose "Roll/Crawl" options. Here is where you can specify the time options for “Roll”. Make sure the title type of “roll” is selected. You can choose to have titles start and/or end off the screen. The "Ease-in and Ease-out" option will allow your title to start slower at the beginning, and then slow down at the end. Click "Okay" when finished.
