How to Remove Glue From Hair
- 1). If the glue is dry, wet the hair and use a narrow-toothed comb that has been coated in conditioner in order to comb through the glue. Comb the hair from scalp to ends in small sections. Clip up the sections that have already been combed and cleaned in order to prevent the glue from getting on that section again. Add rubbing alcohol to the glue to deactivate it and soften it up.
- 2). If the glue is still wet, use a wide-toothed comb to get as much of the glue out as you can. Wash out the comb after each stroke. You can also use rubbing alcohol from a spray bottle to make the glue a little more loose.
- 3). Once you've removed all that you can, wet the hair completely and wring out the excess water.
- 4). Continue using a narrow-toothed comb coated in conditioner to remove the glue.
- 5). Once all of the glue has been removed, wash hair using shampoo and conditioner. If possible, use a deep working conditioner because rubbing alcohol can severely dry out hair. A hair mask made with crushed avocados works well, too.
